I am an old fashioned cynic who questioned the benefit and certainly the cost of using Rachel to assist Cindy with the birth of our children.
I am prepared to admit that I just didn't understand how important her presence would be to both of us. During the birth of our daughter as those around us started to 'flap' Rachel remained a sea of calm. She kept my wife focused on the birth and helped us delivery our baby girl just as we had hoped, naturally.
Rachel's no nonsense, calm, pragmatic approach to assisting not only Cindy but me as well cannot be overemphasised. The only way you'll appreciate the benefit of Rachael at your birth is by having her there to experience it for yourself.

Hypno-birthing & Birth Preparation
Classes 2011
4 x Weekly Classes with a Holistic approach to Pregnancy, Birth and Early Parenthood
These classes are designed for women/couples who are pregnant and are looking to empower themselves with as many tools as possible in preparing for the birth of their baby. These classes will teach hypno-birthing as a skill to take into the birth as well as a tool to support them through the new parenting phase. Hypno-birthing is the ability for you to take yourself into a deep relaxation and be totally connected with your body and your baby.
The process will enable you to have an awareness of what is occurring within your body during the labour and how you can directly influence your body's reaction to what is occurring. Practising hypnosis during these classes and with the cd's supplied it will feel like a gentle meditation that you are completely in control of. These skills are for self-hypnosis so it is your ability to take yourself into a deep relaxation. We will also look at many other topics relevant to birth preparation such as partner support, birth plan preparation, creating your birth space, the role of hormones in the birth process and much much more.
